My friend uses Fedora Core 4 OS, he mount two partition with NTFS file system ( C and D perspectively). He tried to install kaffe in C drive. (After that, he also installed jikes) but kaffe couldn't be installed correctly with error message similar with the error message when he doesn't install jikes before installing kaffe.
