We are interested in extending the new JIT profiling to the Alpha (our lab
has several Alpha machines, including a 4-processor Alphaserver with lots of
memory). However, the current snapshot (downloaded July 29, 1999) compiles
with the interpreter. When I force the configuration script to build with
the JIT there are a number of problem in the jit-alpha.def and the build is
unsuccessful. Has anyone built the JIT for Alphas running OSF recently? Is
anyone looking into this problem with the JIT not working for OSF on the
Alphas?
