I suspect that threading/context switching may be broken, possibly
due to a wrong SP_OFFSET.  You may want to try running developers/sp_offset.c
and check whether the reported value is the same as the one used in
config/alpha/osf/*.h

We still have to include your profiling update to 1.0.5.
