Hi, After entering the Apache incubator, we have added the compression feature and several bug fixes to Kafka. I think we are ready to cut the first release candidate sometime early next week.
For this release candidate, we would like to include the following JIRAs too - KAFKA-125 <https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/KAFKA-125> KAFKA-129 <https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/KAFKA-129> KAFKA-130 <https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/KAFKA-130> KAFKA-136 <https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/KAFKA-136> Hopefully, we can resolve the above JIRAs by early next week, so that we can publish the first RC.
