Hi, Based on the feedback from people on the RC5 vote, it seems that the binary distribution has the right content, except for the jars in boot/test. That means, for end users, the binary distribution will work out-of-the-box. For developers, they can checkout the source revision and run unit tests, build the code.
The plan for RC6 seems to be cutting a new revision and fixing the contents of the binary distribution. It will be good to include the following JIRAs too - KAFKA-192 CompressionUtilTest does not run and fails when it does KAFKA-195 change ProducerShell to use high level producer If you have any other comments, please reply here.
