Whilst the UDP_ng code was written by a GSOC student last year, the UDP code was written by me. Quite why the latter (and hence the former) doesn't contain any shutdown code is beyond me. I know it comes from a time when we were still trying things out (ie more experimentally than now), but that is rather random to say the least. It's dumb bug - thanks for catching it - I'll squash the problem in other files.
