just two quick side notes:
1. Most people on this mailing list "full quote" the original email when
replying.
Please try to quote only the relevant parts you are referring to to
increase the readability of the messages.
2. I noticed that most commits go into the repository without a
descriptive commit message. Is there some special reason for that?
