السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته Anti Money Laundering (AML) is one of the core issues of the hour in finance and banking industry. So many central banks have made it compulsory for the banks be the Islamic or non-Islam; to impart the AML training to all of their staff. As others, the Islamic banks of today’s also accepted the issue with its entire concept and perception which is completely devised by America and the West to use it in their own favor. I think an Islamic bank should have its own definition of Anti Money Laundering which of course will me more vast and comprehensive than the existing one. I’ll appreciate, if anyone can share his awareness and ideas to bring about the proper meaning of the concept based on Qur’an and Sunnah and those modern practices not inconsistent with the principles of Islamic Sharia.
