This edition of Sharia standards contain sharia standards available in 2014 edition and six new standards and for now it’s only available in Arabic and English; the book contains fifty four Sharia Standards, the new six standards are: - Sharia Standard No 49: Unilateral and Bilateral Promise - Sharia Standard No 50: Irrigation Partnership (Musaqat) - Sharia Standard No 51: Options to Revoke Contracts Due to Incomplete Performance - Sharia Standard No 52: Options to Reconsider (Cooling-Off Options, Either –Or Options and Options to Revoke Due to Non-Payment) - Sharia Standard No 53: Arboun (Esrnest Money) - Sharia Standard No 54: Revocation of Contracts by Exercise of a Cooling-Off Option This edition of Accounting, Auditing and Governance standards contain twenty seven Accounting standards, five Auditing standards, seven Governance standards and code of Ethics for Accountants and Auditors of IFIs and code of Ethics for Employees of IFIs and for now it’s only available in Arabic and English. Below is a brief summary of the amendments made to the book: - The previous (FAS 5): Disclosure of Bases for Profit Allocation Between Owner’s Equity and Investment Accountholders and (FAS 6): Equity of Investment Accountholders and Their Equivalent have been replaced and superseded by (FAS 27): Investment Accounts. - The previous (FAS 17): Investments have been replaced and superseded by (FASs 25 and 26): Investment in Sukuk, Shares and similar Instruments, Investment in Real Estate. - (FAS 23): Consolidation has been reviewed amended. - Adding Accounting Guidance to the Arabic version (note: it is already included in the English version). This is the first time AAOIFI publish the Sharia research and it’s only available in Arabic.
