Thats odd.  I downloaded that last release and looked over it and
I didn't see it doing any thing all that different from the
current build system.

Oh.  hehe.  I downloaded that patch and unpacked the kernel, but
it seems I forgot to apply the patch to the kernel tree which I
then examined.  <lol> I was stupidly looking over a virgin tree.
