Hi, My problem is quite easy: when compiling 2.5.25 on i386, I repeatedly end up here:
phase 2 (convert all Makefile.in files) phase 3 (evaluate selections) phase 4 (integrity checks, write global makefile) Starting phase 5 (build) for installable CC arch/i386/kernel/setup.o pp_makefile5: standardize_name: ../drivers/acpi/include/acpi.h (/../drivers/acpi/include/acpi.h) not in filelist, should never happen pp_makefile5: dependencies (pid 20969) returned 1 make[1]: *** [arch/i386/kernel/setup.o] Error 1 Kernel build failed. Please read the FAQ at http://www.tux.org/lkml/ before sending a bug report. make: *** [phase5] Error 1 The whole ACPI includedir didn't get indexed. What could help?
