Hi Xavier.

I do not recall what project it is, but kconfig is used for
oter projects as well.
Obviously you need to adhere to the license, but I assume LCD4Linux
is GPL so this should not be an issue.

It would indeed be wasted effort to come up with a similar solution.

I can do only limited help here, but anyway Roman Zippel is the expert
and the one who wrote the kconfig stuff.
