Hello, rp-filter is default off (see ip-sysctl.txt and proc.txt or test it), but comments in
Documentation/Configure/help --- 2.4 kernels net/ipv4/Kconfig --- 2.6 kernels have led some (look at /etc/rc.d/rc.ip_forward on Slackware) to believe it is default on.
