Kill-line in emacs and gnu readline when in emacs mode.  I want to
avoid any key that is already used on its own.  Andi's suggestion of ^X
looks good, it is the emacs escape character but is always used in
combination with another key so looking for 3 consecutive ^X will avoid
emacs problems.
