kdb-v1.7-2.4.0 - problem

Hi,

   I am working with SuSE's 7.1 Linux which is Linux 2.4.0 base
and patched kdb-v1.7-2.4.0 on it. There were couple of changes
needed to be done in Makefile, after patching made Makefile.rej.
Then I could compile and booted the system with new kernel.
However, when I press the key (Break), I am not getting into
kdb, as expecetd, instead the systems hang. Any idea?
