The i386/ia64 folders are for very old versions of kdb, which had one big patch for each architecture. Later versions of kdb have an architecture independent common patch plus an architecture specific patch. See ftp://oss.sgi.com/projects/kdb/download/v4.3/README. There is an xscale patch against kernel 2.4.20, done by Eddie Dong of Intel.
