Folks I was looking around for a kallsyms for x86_64 and found a kallsyms for ia64. I hacked it to cross compile for x86_64 (by changing a few elf header variables). the 2.4.25 patch for kdb works with this version of kallsyms.
I need a kallsyms that works for all architectures such as xscale, i386, x86_64. In the sources, there is talk of a rewrite of kallsyms. Has this been done? If not, I can spend a few days on it. I was thinking of making kallsyms read the header and use the appropriate object loader for the architecture (xscale, x86_64, ia32, ppc) to load the object once it finds a matching elf header. Has this work been started or already done? I looked at the 2.4 modutils package (2.4.26 I think?) and it doesn't appear to be done there.
