In this version, the most important changes have been done to audio backend. Phonon has been dropped, and the audio backend is built on GStreamer now. More details at https://blogs.kde.org/2025/06/25/second-beta-for-amarok-3.3-available/ One should also note that due to the database update, downgrading from 3.3 betas is not directly possible, and returning to pre-3.3 versions requires the database (at ~/.local/share/amarok/mysqle/) to be manually backed up beforehand.
