Ctrl+I, Ctrl+B, etc. only work when some text is selected. When no text is

nothing. However, if the cursor is anywhere between a the letters of a word,
everything works. This behaviour is different from how other software
(specifically word processors) work.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

Type 1: When text is select
1. Open Marknote
2. Create a new note
3. Type something
4. Select it
5. Try clicking on bold/italic/strikethrough/underline - all work.
6. Try using Ctrl+B / Ctrl + I etc. - all work.

Type 2: When cursor is between the letters of a word
Repeat 1 - 3 from Type 1
4. Say you typed "Boom"; then cursor -> Bo|om
5. Try 5 and 6 from Type 1 - all work

Type 3: When NO text is present in the vicinity
Repeat 1 - 2 from Type 1
3. Try pressing Ctrl + B / Ctrl + I etc. - Nothing work.
4. Try physically pressing the buttons - Nothing works
