Hi Just want to update this thread by noting that adding this key to my
ghostwriter.conf resolved this issue for me, and it seemed to work for others
in this disucssion thread on the github:
https://github.com/KDE/ghostwriter/discussions/890

I was also able to open open a file and start typing within it without any
issues using the version of ghost writer packaged by Fedora. If this issue is
still ongoing, it may be helpful to put this temp fix somewhere more visible
for others who encounter it
