I`m experiencing a similiar problem with. Interesting enough, if I remove and re-add the Brightness and color" widget on one of my toolbars, the controls for brightness for both displays show up and everything is working as expected. (I hope it was the right move to post into this bug thread; if not forgive me, since I`m new :) I will gladly open a new thread if not).
