Plasma Volume dragging
SUMMARY
The responsiveness of volume sliders is less than amazing, both for input
(microphones) and output (speakers, headphones). Dragging the slider changes
the actual real-life volume, but the slider updates with a huge multi-second
delay. This behavior is reproducible with all my input and output audio
devices. The lag is present both is applet and in system settings page.
This is less than amazing and certainly is a regression compared to Plasma 5
and maybe earlier versions of Plasma 6.
Note that there is no such delay for scrolling over the Volume applet icon or
global shortcuts.
Honestly looks like events throttling gone wrong.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open Volume applet.
2. Drag some volume sliders around until their knobs start lagging behind.
OBSERVED RESULT
Laggy
EXPECTED RESULT
Snappy
