SUMMARY
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
Make a colour clip
Add to time line
Replace the colour clip with a video or image
OBSERVED RESULT
The colour clip turns black nothing is replaced
EXPECTED RESULT
The colour clip should be replaced with the video selected (or image)
This works for other clips like videos or even svgs.
SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux Mint 21.3
Qt Version: qmake -v
QMake version 3.1
Using Qt version 5.15.3 in /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
The expected behaviour was working in previous versions as the youtuber
Arkengheist 2.0 has a tut on it called split screen using colour clips (so it
did work back then as a workflow)
