Bug ID: 503059
Summary: Visual Studio Code on wayland native shows up wierdly
in Alt+Tab switcher
Classification: Plasma
Product: kwin
Version: 6.3.4
Platform: Arch Linux
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: wayland-generic
Assignee: [email protected]

Target Milestone: ---

--> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=180431&action=edit
Observed behavior
Visual Studio Code, with --ozone-platform-hint=wayland, acts weirdly.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Configure Visual Studio Code to run on wayland native
2. Run it.
3. Mess with Alt+Tab
OBSERVED RESULT
the window will show up in the background, with a icon active on the bottem
window manager, but Alt+Tab wouldn't enable switching to the window because it
doesn't show up. after I opened the window to the foreground by the icon on the
bottem, the Visual Studio Code window will show up in Alt+Tab, but with its
icon unset (showed up as the wayland icon). The above behaviors can't be
observed on Xwayland.
