Bug ID: 503988
Summary: Allow re-pairing already paired devices in the pairing
dialog
Classification: Plasma
Product: plasmashell
Version: master
Platform: Arch Linux
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: wishlist
Priority: NOR
Component: Bluetooth in general
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: 1.0
SUMMARY
Game controllers are often re-paired again and again to new devices which makes
them lose their old pairings. For this reason I recommend allowing re-pairing
known devices. Otherwise I have to go into the bluetooth KCM and remove the
said device first. For usability this is pretty bad
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Pair a game controller
2. Pair it to another computer
3. Try to re-pair it to the first computer
OBSERVED RESULT
The controller doesn't appear in the pair menu
EXPECTED RESULT
The game controller should appear in the menu and should override the original
pairing if selected
