--- Comment #13 from Karl Ove Hufthammer <[email protected]> --- >> We should probably force double click for opening? > > I'm not a UX expert, but enforcing the double-click might improve the current > behavior. My personal opinion: This would be bad UX and bad for accessibility (some people have set single click for opening files because they have difficulty in double-clicking). Note that the single/double click behaviour is not specific to Dolphin; it is a *global* Plasma setting. As a single-click user, this is what I would expect and prefer in Lokalize (when using single-click as the global option): Single-click will open a file. Ctrl + click will select a file without opening it. Note that this is not the same as the old behaviour, but I think the old behaviour, where Ctrl + click opened a file in a background tab, should be considered a bug. In *all other applications*, Ctrl + click only selects stuff. Lokalize should behave like other applications. Besides, the ‘open in a background tab’ behaviour was actually quite annoying, as it takes time to open a PO file, so the UI became somewhat unresponsive (i.e., it was slow to select multiple files). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
