No. Ctrl+W is a legitimate key combination  for terminal apps, commonly bound
to "delete word".

Unfortunately, anything with Ctrl as a modifier conflicts with terminal
emulator. We just can't have sane and consistent shortcuts like Apple/Mac OS X,
because there is no dedicated system key for things like copy/paste/close.
