With Kate, following your steps, there is a single close dialog that lists all open files. I'm attaching a screenshot of it. KWrite behaves the same way. With Konsole, running `top` in multiple windows, there is "Close All" from the task manager. Clicking on this closes all the Konsole windows without presenting a confirmation dialog.
