--- Comment #2 from Mario Ebenhofer <[email protected]> ---
Exactly. I put in my password, press enter, get a black screen for a second or
two and then, the desktop just flickers up for a fraction of a second before
the laptop goes to sleep. Then, when I open the lid, it wakes up, and when I
close it a few seconds later, it says awake.

After some more testing, I also notices, that this only happens when I have
just the docking station connected via USB-C for power.
While the barrel power adapter is connected in addition to the dock, the laptop
stays awake after logging in. The charging led never turns of in the process
though...
I did notice that there are performance and stability issues when I run heavier
workloads (especially when the dGPU is used) with just the dock (and no barrel
charger), but when that happens, the power led also turns off occasionally, so
I don't thing it's getting insufficient power while starting Plasma.

Is there maybe some way to get any useful logs that could tell us what exactly
happens? I did check dmesg, but didn't find anything directly related to power
myself. Should I maybe reproduce the issue and attach the dmesg output (or
anything else) after a fresh boot?
