So if you profile both, yeah, kwin_wayland is going consume more resources than kwin_x11, you shouldn't be that surprised. kwin_wayland handles what other components handle for kwin_x11 on X11. That benchmark (if you even call it that way) is very misleading. We'd like to help you with this issue, but it's just not actionable at the moment.
