Bug ID: 507157
Summary: Can't move or create desktop icons or folders on
secondary display
Classification: Plasma
Product: plasmashell
Version First 6.4.1
Reported In:
Platform: Fedora RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: Desktop icons & Folder View widget
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
CC: [email protected]
Target Milestone: 1.0
The secondary display acts like it's locked but it's not. Trying to drag and
drop or create something new on the secondary display snaps it to the primary
display. Can't drag anything from Discover to any display. I can create a
separate desktop folder for each display and it works, but I can't drag and
drop icons/files/folders between displays with separate folders.. I deleted
the contents of [ScreenMapping] in plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc but
it didn't help. I removed the whole file to try and reset the desktop but it
didn't help.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Create a file, folder, or link on the secondary display
2. Drag and drop anything from the primary display to the secondary display
3. Drag and drop anything from Discovery to any display.
OBSERVED RESULT
Everything snaps to the primary display
EXPECTED RESULT
Files and folders should stay where I put them
