SUMMARY
When going to the Captions pane, the Captions textbox presents garbage binary
data while the caption should be empty. I tried looking at the same picture in
the old Windows Live Photo Gallery application and Windows Properties window
and both have nothing of the sort.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Index the picture in digiKam
2. Go to the Captions tab
OBSERVED RESULT
Bunch of garbage

Empty textbox
