            Bug ID: 507574
           Summary: Make monitor Systemd free
    Classification: Applications
           Product: plasma-systemmonitor
      Version First unspecified
       Reported In:
          Platform: Gentoo Packages
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
                CC: [email protected], [email protected]
  Target Milestone: ---

In Gentoo, the system monitor is mutilated: you click on the left-hand column,
text "Applications" and what you get is a blank box on the right with a
forbidden sign and the text: «Applications view is unsupoorted on your system».
I read somewhere that this is because Gentoo doesn't use systemd by default.
Can't you remove that dependency on Systemd and thus not create first and
second class users?
