Following up on my previous comment, it appears at the default safety margin of
1500 that cursor frames are being dropped, but at 5000 that some frames are out
of place. Perhaps it's just two different symptoms of the same problem, and I
have to admit I don't really understand the mechanisms at play here.

Anyway, on my secondary monitor (75 Hz refresh), setting the safety margin to
5000 doesn't really make things seem or feel better, just different. At 1500
safety margin, it seems to be a combination of equidistantly-spaced frames with
gaps, whereas at 5000 safety margin, the frame spacing seems to be all over the
place, which almost feels worse.

Either way, increasing the safety margin up to 5000 doesn't solve the problem,
but might improve it depending on your monitor's refresh rate.
