SUMMARY
When using digikam it will happen that suddenly parts/segments of the digikam
window get repeated/displaced. 

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Use digikam
2. suddenly segments of the window are shown double
3. 

OBSERVED RESULT
window segments appear double
clicking the mouse anywhere in the window "clicks" somewhere else than where
the mouse pointer actually appears to be
minimizing/maximizing does not resolver the issue.
moving the window to another monitor does not resolve the issue

EXPECTED RESULT
no doubling of segments of the window

I can't find what triggers this doubling effect.
The segments that double don't seem to be the same each time.
