Well, that's the problem. :) As explained in other bug reports of yours, using a 50% scale factor with huge fonts isn't supported. If you use the normal scaling approach instead, the cursors will adjust automatically, and the result will be much better (not to mention compatible with multi-screen setups with mixed DPIs, which isn't possible with your font-based approach).
