Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply, the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout expired, or the network connection was broken. This is somewhat worse than a crash since plasmashell won't auto-recover; you have to know technical recovery tools (I had to `killall -9 plasmashell`) or restart the computer.
