            Bug ID: 358027
Summary: Should start minimized or remember if last instance
                    was open or closed
           Product: kalarm
           Version: 2.10.12-ak
          Platform: Debian testing
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: minor
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: djar...@kde.org
          Reporter: tuk...@gmail.com

KAlarm is the only system-tray service that I have that pops up it's window on
boot every time - and that includes other KDE apps such as Amarok, KTorrent and
rsibreak not to mention volume control and other system services that also
feature a full window in one form or another.

This is more a nuisance than a serious bug but it would be nicer if it either
opened up on tray only on remembered it's last window's state like Amarok and
KTorrent do.

Other than that KAlarm is great! It's the best reminder tool I have found for
Linux if you don't need a full calendar suite - plus it's KDE, with all the
benefits that entails like global shortcuts and superb quality! It's actually
the only program I need for PIM as far as dates are concerned, and that's
saying a lot :) Thanks for the great application!

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install KAlarm.
2. Boot up the system and a KDE user session on which KAlarm is set to open up
automatically.

Actual Results:
A KAlarm window will open up with the KDE session every time.

Expected Results:
No window to pop-up unless it's the first time KAlarm is ever opened or if it
had a window open last time it was closed.

It would also be just as fine instead for KAlarm to have a setting "open to
tray only" which would need to be manually set by the user.

I'm reporting this as a minor bug instead of a wishlist item because it's
actually a usability/interface issue, even if it's very minor.
