Password prompt

SUMMARY
Seconds after booting up, Discover asks for the root password in order to be
able to install Flatpak updates in the background. Dismissing the prompt
results in a loop.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Hope you have pending flatpak updates (org.freedesktop.Platform.openh264 in
my case)
2. Boot, login to Plasma
3. Wait for the Discover root password prompt to appear
4. Click "Cancel"

OBSERVED RESULT
Discover opens for the blink of an eye, displays a (due to its short appearance
on screen) unreadable error message. Then, Discover closes and the password
prompt reappears. This happens over and over again, regardless of me clicking
the "X" on the password prompt or clicking the "Cancel" button.

EXPECTED RESULT
The password prompt window disappears, and no updates are installed. I can
install the updates later, when I have the time.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System: openSUSE Tumbleweed 20250905
KDE Plasma Version: 6.4.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.17.0
Qt Version: 6.9.2
Kernel Version: 6.16.3-1-default (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: X11
Processors: 16 × AMD Ryzen 7 8840HS w/ Radeon 780M Graphics
Memory: 16 GiB of RAM (14.9 GiB usable)
Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon Graphics
Manufacturer: ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC.
Product Name: ASUS Zenbook 14 UM3406HA_UM3406HA
System Version: 1.0
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
1. In System Settings, I have enabled automatic software updates on a daily
basis and selected "Apply after restart".
2. Also, when installing new Flatpak apps, I am asked for my root password. On
my other machine (Kubuntu 25.04), this is not the case. Both enabling Flatpak
and adding the Flathub repo happened through Discover GUI, on both machines. Is
this just something openSUSE does different? This is the first time I am
running something other than *buntu "for real".

Attached are two screenshots - the password prompt with some details expanded,
and Discover with the error message (translates roughly to "There was an error
during updating or installing things. Please try again later.").
