complete for a fraction of a second
    Classification: Applications
           Product: krita
      Version First 5.2.11
       Reported In:
          Platform: Microsoft Windows
                OS: Microsoft Windows
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: * Unknown
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: ---

SUMMARY
Krita will randomly show waiting for image operation to complete for a fraction
of a second after actions on any layer. I will draw the first line of line art,
pick up my pen, the start to draw the next and it will pause, get rid of my
input, flash the image operation prompt for a fraction of a second, then act
like nothing happens. This happens almost every stroke after now. If I'm moving
a reference image on the layer, it will stop while my cursor is still moving,
but this time it doesn't even flash the pop up. No matter what image I am on it
does it. This includes large images with lots of layer and small images with
1-2 layers.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Create an image
2. Draw, erase, move an image/layer
3. Witness the pop up after a few seconds
4. Repeat from 2

OBSERVED RESULT
It pauses, flashes the pop up, then resumes. Sometimes my inputs I am doing
won't happen.

EXPECTED RESULT
See observed. Although I should expect it to not happen.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows: 10

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
My PC is a powerhouse. I have all drivers updated and windows updated to the
latest version on windows 10. This happens with and without a tablet. I've
restarted krita and my pc. This wasn't happening a week ago from 9/15/25. I'm
on default settings for krita configuration.
