I have a monitor with a USB hub but it plugs into the computer using a USB-B cable, so it doesn’t go via DP or USB-C display uplink or something. That said, USB notification comes from any device that is plugged in, we just don’t show multiple at the same time, and I guess the hub is just naturally the first one that comes up. But it’s possible that “removable” is “unknown” for those devices, explaining why it doesn’t show them. Hardware is terrible, I’m afraid.
