            Bug ID: 509958
Summary: Enable editing of file permissions in the document
                    list sidebar
    Classification: Applications
           Product: kate
      Version First 25.04.1
       Reported In:
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: kwrite-bugs-n...@kde.org
          Reporter: kdeb...@insaner.com
  Target Milestone: ---

When the sidebar is open, in Documents mode, I can right click and do things to
the files like "rename". I often need to change permissions of a file to get
certain things to work on my projects (eg, files for a website hosted locally).

It would be great to add an option to change permissions right from kate, via
the context menu, just like I can rename files or "open with". Right now I have
to navigate to the right directory in konqueror, right click, permissions, etc.
