Yichao, since you clearly know this part of the code much better than I and actually understand what it does: do you think it could be possible to set WA_TranslucentBackground` early in addition to the current approach, at least for recent enough Qt versions where this solves our issue? Also, you mention issues with Qt 5.0/5.1 - what would be a reasonable earliest version to require?
