Gordon Lack <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |[email protected] --- Comment #50 from Gordon Lack <[email protected]> --- I posted this as a Kubuntu bug some time ago. It's still true now, and may be more relevant being here. Shading is one of the most productive features of a Plasma desktop. (I see my wife struggling with looking at info on two windows on Microsoft Windows and realize how easy shading + reveal-on-hover makes this). However, for a Wayland session in 24.10 it is not enabled for most windows. My double-click on the title bar does not work, and the option is greyed out in the title-bar menu. It (oddly?) is enabled for some windows - namely those running wine, but even there it is not perfect as: o The hover functions works over the area of the full (hidden) window, not just the visible title-bar o Some windows minimize rather than shade. Loss of the ability to shade makes the desktop considerably less useful. So, to me, the loss of this feature is a big loss in productivity. Probably not for people who run with maximized windows all of the time (what I think of as "Walls" not windows), but for those who wish to interact with multiple windows concurrently this loss is a disaster. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
