I've resolved the issue.

The file that I was working on got corrupted during a background save. Because
it was the most recent file I was working on when krita crashed, krita tried to
launch with the recovery version of that file which just caused it to
immediately crash on launch. To fix this, I duplicated the file, changed the
extension of the duplicate from kra to zip and ran zip -F in an attempt to fix
the file. After changing it back to kra, it worked fine and I no longer have
any issues
