For ExifTool to read and write compressed JXL metadata, the
perl-compress-brotli module is required.

Since the image size in the database doesn't necessarily come from the metadata
(after all, there are also images with no metadata at all), I suspect that the
JXL images were scanned when digiKam couldn't read the format via the QImage
reader.
Please reread the metadata of the JXL images.
