Sound is picked up, recorded waveform shows in the timeline, but stopping the recording trims the clip to an arbitrary length. If there is a longer clip, playback is distorted, sped up, and has interruptions indicating that the .wav file has not been created properly. Occasionally, a subsequent recording shows a window for transcoding but with garbage content and Kdenlive crashes shortly after.
