SUMMARY
In Plasma 6.4.5, Dolphin 25.08.2, I get a strange behavior regarding the back
and forth navigation through history.
It goes in the order done in the panels of split view.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Enter split view.
2. Navigate, expand directories in the left panel.
3. Navigate, expand directories in the right panel.
4. Navigate, expand directories in the left panel.
5. Repeat the above as needed.
6. Access 'Go back' button or menu several times.
7. The operations are done in reverse order of the previous 5-4-3 steps above,
regardless the panel the user is focused on.
8. Access 'Go forward' button or menu several times.
9. The operations are done in the initial order of the previous 3-4-5 steps
above, regardless the panel the user is focused on.
OBSERVED RESULT
1. The steps jump from the left to right panel, according the operations,
panels used and navigation order.
2. Sometimes the original directory or history is lost.
EXPECTED RESULT
While this is neat for some, for other is misleading and does navigation in the
unexpected panel.
An user does not need to go back and forth in both panels in the initial order,
but rather per panel.
While the user goes back and forth in a panel, may need to keep the position in
the other panel.
At least, add an option for this behavior. If there is one, I could not find
it.
