--- Comment #18 from John <[email protected]> --- As a user with faulty power connector, I have bumped into it multiple times and I must say that it's very annoying! Guys, please, if you have set Plasma to reduce the brightness / backlight, by default, when the power is disconnected for whatever reason... Why don't you apply the same logic and return it to the previous level of brightness / backlight? If the cause of the decision to reduce it has disappeared, so it doesn't exist anymore, why does Plasma should still do the effect of it? It makes no sense! Since it annoyed me today too and I wanted to revert it back to 100% after I connected the AC power connector properly, because tis bug is also not fixed: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=498827 I moved to the sound icon and scrolled up, which of course showed me that overlay for the volume and I figured out my mistake. I feel like I'm losing a lot of time to manually fix a default decision that is only half-baked because the opposite decision to restore the previous state is missing. Please consider fixing this problem too as is very annoying! So annoying that I came here to write a bug report about it, but I decided to search if one was already made for it and this is how I got here. Thank you! Still happening on Plasma 6.5.2 (Debian 14). As for the faulty power connector that I have on my laptop, I'm kinda short on money and I'm also far away from my home where I have found a guy that can repair laptops very well and I want to bring the laptop to him, but this will take many months. Thank you very much! And when you can, please also fix the other one by moving the Brightness and Color icon next to the Power and battery icon or the reverse. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
