i noticed this issue when taking screenshots, for example i have it configured
to save screenshots to desktop but i noticed they never appeared there, but
when i open dolphin and go to /user/Desktop they show there, the only
workaround i figured to make it work normally is to create symlink to desktop
folder, and then in "Desktop and wallpaper > Location" settings i set custom
location to that symlink and now it works normally like that, every new entry i
add to Desktop folder is shown right away
